About Akshay Sanan

Dr. Akshay Sanan is a double-board certified facial plastic surgeon with expertise and a keen interest in rhinoplasty, deep plane facelifts, deep neck lifts, deep plane lip lifts, browlifts, and buccal fat reduction surgeries. With a keen and discerning aesthetic, Dr. Sanan is also an expert in neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport), facial fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, RHA, Sculptra), and non-surgical treatments like radiofrequency microneedling and CO2 laser.

Dr. Sanan grew up in Sharon and attended Sharon High School. He was accepted to the Boston University School of Medicine out of high school through the seven-year accelerated BA/MD program. Upon graduation from the Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Sanan received the Dean Eleanor Tyler Award and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Following this, he trained at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and went on to become the sole facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellow at Stanford University, as well as a faculty member, training resident surgeons and medical students.

Before joining the Boston Center for Facial Rejuvenation, Dr. Sanan practiced in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills and developed a robust facial plastic surgery practice with an international clientele. His decision to come back to Boston was to be closer to his family and where his heart feels at home.

Dr. Sanan prides himself on establishing a genuine connection with his patients, and understanding their needs and expectations. He staunchly believes that surgical procedures, particularly those involving facial surgeries like rhinoplasty, deep plane facelifts, and deep neck lifts, necessitate a bespoke approach rather than a one-size-fits-all method.

Through thorough facial analysis and open dialogue with his patients, Dr. Sanan crafts a personalized surgical plan tailored to each individual’s requirements. He then employs his fine-tuned techniques to achieve a result that is both natural and aesthetically pleasing.
