About Helen Raynham

Helen Raynham, MD, PhD graduated medical school from the University of Cape Town in 1989 and subsequently completed her PhD program at the University of Oxford. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital as well as a dermatology residency at Boston University/Tufts. Dr. Raynham has more than 22 years of medical education and training. She specializes in skin cancer prevention, skin surgery, cosmetic dermatology, Mohs Micrographic surgery, and Rhinophyma surgery. She is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Raynham has a strong passion for skin cancer prevention and treatment. Growing up in South Africa, she was exposed to significant sun damage and was treated for skin cancer. Because of this experience, her interest in dermatology grew strong and her commitment to excellent dermatologic care has followed her throughout her career. Dr. Raynham treats patients of all ages and is currently practicing at four Dermcare locations including Arlington, Cambridge, Chelmsford, and Natick. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She travels frequently to South Africa to see her extended family, and to go on safari.
