About Byron Ho
Byron Ho, MD, is a Board Certified Dermatologist, specializing in medical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatologic services. He practices at APDerm’s Adult & Pediatric Dermatology P.C. offices in Marlborough and Wayland locations in Massachusetts. He has a clinical interest in complex medical dermatology, encompassing connective tissue diseases, autoimmune blistering diseases, and dermatologic manifestations of systemic and oncologic diseases. He also performs various procedures including excisions of benign and malignant lessons. Dr. Ho customizes treatments to meet his individual patient’s needs. An avid fitness enthusiast, he believes strongly in the connection between general health, dermatologic health, and healthy lifestyles.
As a former clinical associate at Johns Hopkins Department of Dermatology as well as a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Ho is committed to both his patients and the field of dermatology. He not only educates his patients regarding their dermatological health but also takes an active role in training residents and medical students. Dr. Ho’s passion for medical education is reflected in his recognition as the 2019 recipient of the Johns Hopkins Dermatology Resident Teaching Award. Additionally, he has published in such prestigious journals as Science, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, British Journal of Dermatology, JAMA Pediatrics, and Chest.
Dr. Ho is a Massachusetts native who received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with magna cum laude honors from Duke University. Thereafter, he received his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Prior to his time with APDerm®, Dr. Ho completed his internal medicine internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School located in Boston. He completed his dermatology residency at the Johns Hopkins Department of Dermatology where he was awarded the Frank L. Coulson, Jr. Award for Clinical Excellence in the spring of 2020.
