About Angel Diaz-Martinez

Angel Diaz, MD, is a Board-Certified Dermatologist specializing in adult and pediatric medical dermatology and cosmetic dermatologic services. He practices at APDerm’s Adult & Pediatric Dermatology P.C. offices in Winchester, Medford, and Stoneham locations in Massachusetts. He is clinically interested in treating acne, psoriasis, eczema, alopecia, and complex medical conditions, encompassing immunobullous disorders and the cutaneous manifestation of internal diseases, among other conditions. Dr. Diaz also performs multiple surgical procedures, including excisions of benign and malignant cutaneous lesions. Dr. Diaz customizes treatments to meet his individual patient’s needs and educates his patients regarding their dermatological health. He enjoys serving a diverse patient population and is committed to increasing diversity within the field of dermatology. Due to his commitment to diversity and inclusion through educational efforts, multicultural initiatives, cultural competency, and community outreach activities, he received the PHSU Presidential Diversity Award during his medical training. He has also received national scholarships, such as the American Medical Association Physicians of Tomorrow Underrepresented in Medicine Scholarship (2018) and the 2022 Skin Scholarship Sponsored by Lubriderm® and the National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF).

Dr. Diaz was born and raised in Puerto Rico and received his Bachelor of Science with magna cum laude honors from the University of Puerto Rico. After that, he received his master’s in medical sciences and medical degree with summa cum laude honors from Ponce Health Sciences University. Before his time with APDerm, Dr. Diaz completed his transitional year at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, a teaching hospital of Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He completed his dermatology residency at the Johns Hopkins Department of Dermatology, graduating in 2023.
